Final Thoughts

Metro 2033 - It's not book, it's a game

I was holding this 500 page novel in my hand while standing in Indigo, knowing that I was about to do something stupid, actually buy a book. The last time I bought a novel for fun was back in Elementary School, where I ordered this book from Scholastic called Loser, which I never ended up even getting half way through. Except this time, I actually read every page from front to back, including the advertisement for the Xbox game on the last page. I was so invested Metro 2003, invested in this underground city that I have been reading about for a month, so I wanted to see more.

Final Thoughts: LittleBigPlanet2

I have to admit. When I found out last year that LittleBigPlanet2 was being delayed from its November release date to January, I was very disappointed. And after the delay, my excitement for the game had simmered down and never reached that high point ever again. When January rolled around I read very positive reviews for the game; I was convinced by both consumers and critics that this was a must own PS3 title. After the purchase, I played through the single player in a few sittings, and played co-op with friends or random strangers online. For a game that boasts having unlimited amounts of content, I still managed to feel very unsatisfied with my purchase.

I Finally Played Super Metroid

This past weekend, I finally decided to sit down and play Super Metroid on Super Nintendo, because I was told that it was the best iteration in the Metroid series. I’ll have to admit, hearing all the familiar sounds and finding all the weapons and accessories that I have encountered in the Prime series was unexpected, but it helped me understand what the Metroid series evolved from.

Final Thoughts: Demon's Souls

After 11 hours of level grinding, killing enemies and constantly dying, I concluded that Demon’s Souls is extremely difficult, so difficult that it only manages to create frustration. The most important thing in Demon’s Souls is collecting souls, which can be obtained through killing enemies and finding other soldiers souls. The souls you collect are used for upgrading equipment, leveling up, and buying other materials, so it is essential to collect as many souls as possible.
